Elite Money Ranger is a financial modelling tool. The plans you build in it are among the more sensitive things a person can write down, so this page is specific about what is held, where, and who else can see it. It describes what the software actually does; if anything here stops being true, this page is wrong and should be corrected.

What is collected

From your Google account

Signing in uses Google. Google returns an identity token, and from it the following is stored: your email address, your name, your profile picture URL, and Google's opaque account identifier for you. Nothing else from your Google account is requested or received — the sign-in asks only for the openid, email and profile scopes. There is no access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts or anything else.

What you put into the product

The journals you create and every financial event in them: dates, amounts, property and policy details, income, expenses, loans, and the assumptions behind your projections. This is data you enter. It is not imported from your bank and no account is ever linked — there is no Plaid, no open banking connection, and no read access to any financial institution.

Billing

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card numbers never reach this service — checkout happens on Stripe's own pages. What is stored here is Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers, which plan you are on, and when the current period ends.

How it is used

To run the product: to sign you in, to compute your projections, to enforce the limits of your plan, and to send you transactional email — an invitation you asked to send, a notice that a payment failed, a confirmation that a plan changed. That is the whole list.

Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. It is not used to train machine learning models. There is no advertising, no tracking pixels, no analytics, and no third-party scripts on this site — the marketing pages set no cookies at all.

Who else processes it

These providers hold or handle data in order for the service to function:

• Google — sign-in and identity verification
• Neon — the database your journals are stored in
• Fly.io — runs the application server
• Cloudflare — serves this site and routes traffic
• Stripe — payments and billing
• Postmark — sends transactional email
• Sentry — receives error reports when something breaks

Sentry is configured not to attach personal information to error reports. It receives the shape of a failure, not the contents of your journal.

Sharing you choose

You can share a journal with another person, and an advisor can invite you as a client. Those are deliberate acts by you, and they are the only circumstances in which another user of this product can see your data. Sharing can be withdrawn, and withdrawing it ends their access.

Sessions

Signing in stores a session token in your browser's local storage, along with your name, email and profile picture so the interface can render before the server answers. This is not a cookie and it is not sent anywhere except to this product's own API. Signing out removes it.

Keeping and deleting

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can ask for your account and everything in it to be deleted, or for a copy of your data, by writing to support@elitemoneyranger.com. Deletion removes your journals, events and account record. Records that must be retained for accounting or legal reasons — an invoice, for instance — are held by Stripe under their own terms.

Access is currently invited

The product is in private beta. Your email address may be recorded on an access list so that sign-in can recognise it. That list exists only to control who can use the product.

If this changes materially, the date at the top changes and anyone with an account is told by email rather than left to notice.
